DakotaPlex

In response to the shortage of affordable housing in our rural communities, South Dakota Housing created the DakotaPlex Program. DakotaPlex units are built by the prison inmates at the Mike Durfee State Prison in Springfield. Units are based on the Governor's Houses and are two and three-bedroom units to be used as a duplex, triplex, or quadruplex. DakotaPlex units must be placed in rural communities with populations of 5,000 or less.
