Notice of Public Comment Meeting - Amended 2019 Annual Action Plan

In response to the COVID-19 Pandemic and funding allocated through the CARES Act, South Dakota will be receiving additional funding through the Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) Program. The funding, referred to as ESG-CV will be utilized for preventing, preparing for and responding to coronavirus. The ESG-CV funding amount is $2,199,893.
Per the recently Amended Citizen Participation Plan, SDHDA is offering the public an opportunity to provide citizen review and input as it relates to the administration and implementation of the ESG-CV funding. As stated in the Amended Citizen Participation Plan the public comment process is shortened to a term of five days with a virtual public meeting being held via Skype for Business on the fourth day of the public comment period.
The 2019 Annual Action Plan has been amended per the guidelines outlined by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development which entails adding the funding as an additional resource and detailing the purpose of the funding to be for preventing, preparing for and responding to the Coronavirus.
The Amended 2019 Annual Action Plan is made available to the public for a five (5) day public comment period prior to implementation, and anyone interested may review and comment accordingly. The five (5) day public comment period is May 14 -20, 2020. A virtual public hearing will be held May 19, 2020, at 3 pm, CDT via Skype for Business.
